Venice

The main antagonist of the movie is an underworld banker called Le Chiffre. He gambles away the money of his clients. Fortunately for Bond, he is accompanied by Vesper Lynd, a foreign liaison agent for the British Treasury.
The exterior of Casino Royale was shot in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. The building that served as the Casino Royale was a part of the Grandhotel Pupp. It was designed by Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer. It was also a favorite of the Russian czar Peter the Great.
The building is now a government property and is open for cultural events. The hotel offered a special package for Bond fans. It included two hour rides from Prague for 160 Crowns.
